About Me

Elijah Hecht is a twenty-three-year-old landscape acrylic painter. Working from photographs and collages, His practice is intimately tied to place, location both imagined and real. Intertwining memory, the creation and combination of them, as well as the absence of making them with family when apart. Can you be nostalgic for somewhere you have never been, music you haven't heard before, or art you just saw? A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, born in Boston, Massachusetts. He recently graduated from Ontario College of Art and Design University. Shown work in small fundraising venues and outdoor art fairs. When not in the studio, he loves playing Dungeons and Dragons and writing stories.
